About the Project

Overview TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO is Japan's premier entertainment complex, built around the themes of sports, mobility, and sustainability, based on the concept of "Betting on Possibilities." We were involved in creating spaces in multiple areas, with the aim of developing a new "sports spectator culture" in Japan.
The design is based on the themes of "the exhilaration of various entertainment including sports," "a refined and genuine sense of quality," and "a fusion of the essence of Tokyo," creating a highly satisfying Hospitality Spaces throughout the building.

The three exhibition spaces facing the general concourses on the third and fourth floors express the three themes of TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO: "SPORTS - Next-generation sports experience," "SUSTAINABILITY - Sustainable lifestyle design," and "MOBILITY - Future mobility services." This allows all visitors to intuitively experience the essence of TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO.
It is made up of three areas: the "EVENT SPACE (ALVARK AREA)," where you can experience the team's history and learn about the players up close; the "SUSTAINABILITY AREA," where you can experience the sustainable society that "TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO" aims for; and the "MOBILITY KIDS AREA," where you can have fun imagining the mobility of the future and the surrounding area.
Issues/Themes It will be a place to widely publicize the three visions that the three Toyota Group companies and TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO are striving for, and will also function as an event space, rest area, and kids' room to meet the expectations of a diverse range of visitors.
Furthermore, we wanted to create an intuitive and memorable exhibition space that would naturally be recalled even after leaving the extraordinary space of TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO and returning to everyday life.
Space Solution/Realization The three themes of "TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO" were emphasized through a visual design that unifies the entire space and a clear theme color. The appealing points were carefully selected and summarized from the vast amount of information, important philosophies, and many initiatives, and expressed concisely in accordance with the space. By minimizing written expression and making full use of illustrations and visual elements, we created an exhibition space that allows a diverse range of visitors to understand the themes while having fun.
In the "EVENT SPACE (ALVARK AREA)," we have prepared features that will allow even non-fans to become interested in the players and the team, such as a reproduction of a player's locker and an exhibition of actual shoes.
In the "SUSTAINABILITY AREA," visitors can relax in a green space while following large graphics by illustrator JUN OSON, allowing them to easily learn about the sustainability initiatives being undertaken by the arena and club.
In the "MOBILITY KIDS AREA," visitors can play with Digital Contents allows them to create future mobility while surrounded by graphics of a future city created by illustrator Maeda Yuuki. The mobility they create will then be shown on the arena's screens after the game has finished.
Sustainable design Universal design: The three visions are expressed in an impressive way, with minimal text.
Circular design: At the Sustainability Area, we have created a bench using wood produced in Tama.
