About the Project

Overview This is a new factory tour facility built inside the ice cream factory. You can see the manufacturing process as if you were actually inside the factory, and the facility allows you to learn about ice cream and Glico while having fun through hands-on corners that incorporate Video theater and entertainment elements. The clean white-based space allows you to take your time to tour the facility.
Issues/Themes The goal is to create a space that will get visitors hooked on Glico ice cream and increase the number of fans of Glico products.
Space Solution/Realization There were many entertaining, hands-on gimmicks placed throughout the facility, such as an air shower blowing onto the body to remove dust and dirt, or experiencing the freezing cold inside a freezer. In addition, to give visitors an easy-to-understand look at the manufacturing process, there was also a corner where visitors could use a zoom camera to get a close-up look at the Papico filling process. Through these experiences, we created a space that fosters a bond between visitors and Glico products.
