A sophisticated urban resort where the scenery of Osaka Bay and the history of shipbuilding blend seamlessly.

| Overview | Following the rebranding from "Hyatt Regency Osaka" to "Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay," the hotel will sequentially renovate its 414 guest rooms and common areas on the same floors starting in September 2024. Anticipating increased inbound tourism demand due to the Osaka-Kansai Expo, the existing Japanese restaurant "Irodori" will also be redesigned and reopened in May 2025 with the addition of a sushi counter. |
|---|---|
| Issues/Themes | In addition to establishing a design befitting the Grand Prince brand, the hotel will enhance features that meet modern needs, such as lighting and power supply. Some rooms will see an increase in occupancy to improve the ADR (Average Daily Rate), while maintaining comfort and a sense of class. The Japanese restaurant will expand its offerings by adding a sushi counter in addition to the existing teppanyaki counter. |
| Space Solution/Realization | Based on the design concept of "Authentic and Sophisticated," which combines dignity and elegance, we aimed to create a space with a sense of class, gravitas, and high quality befitting the Grand Prince brand. Features include window frame designs that capture the view like a painting, carpet colors that reflect the scenery of Osaka Bay outside the window, and artwork inspired by the history of the land, which once prospered from shipbuilding. The newly installed sushi counter in the restaurant features a rammed earth plaster wall that expresses the undulation of the water in Osaka Bay, and by incorporating rice husks, which are associated with sushi, into the plaster, it achieves a rich texture and original design. |
